MSD is excited to bring this HEI Rev Limiter to the circle track world. This Circle Track RPM Control is designed for racers and tech officials alike. It features fully digital operation allowing for extra smooth and accurate rev limiting to within a quarter percent of the set value, while eliminating the need for plug-in RPM modules, as convenient adjustable rotary dial’s take their place.

New digital technology also allows the rev limiter to record the highest RPM the engine rev limited for a pre-determined amount of time providing useful information to both race teams and tech officials
If for any reason the unit loses any connection during a race, the engine will lose power and set a fault code that will be displayed on the LED display

The MSD Digital 6AL features a higher output with 530 primary volts and 135mJ of spark energy. Efficient components use less current to produce more power. Set an rpm limit on the MSD 6AL rev limiter with two rotary dials. Has the same bolt pattern as the original 6AL, but with a lower profile housing. Built-in LED for system checks. All wires exit the same side through a locked, sealed connector. Compatible with 4, 6 and 8-cylinder engines.

Dial in the perfect tune for your LS using the easily adjustable preset timing curves or hookup to your computer and program a custom setup with our user friendly MSD View software. New features of the LS Ignition include; high speed data acquisition, an optional coolant temperature sensor input, idle timing control, as well as individual cylinder timing. These features are in addition to the existing programmable step retard, launch retard and RPM rev limiters from its predecessor.

The housing is machined from a billet of 6061-T6 aluminum on a state-of-the-art CNC machine producing exact tolerances. For high rpm stability, a .500” steel shaft is supported by a sealed ball bearing and a long sintered bushing. This shaft also receives a QPQ coating for friction reduction and resistance to corrosion. A precision machined reluctor is attached to the shaft which triggers the magnetic pick-up mounted in the housing. This high output magnetic pick-up is the most accurate way to trigger your ignition. Plus, with no moving parts to wear or adjust, the pick-up is maintenancefree! Just above the pick-up is MSD’s adjustable mechanical advance assembly.

Different springs and stop bushings are supplied so you can tune an advance curve to match your application. Must be used with an MSD 6, 7 or 8-series ignition.

This all new distributor is spec’d by MSD engineers and is built around a new cast aluminum housing and includes a powerful ignition module, coil and high quality cap and rotor.

One of the most important tuning features of a distributor is the centrifugal advance. The Street Fire HEI Distributor features an advance assembly that features welded weight pins and coated weights to ensure smooth movement and accurate timing. Included 4-pin Module.

MSD engineers have worked tirelessly to perfect the new circle track HEI. A bulletproof ignition module fires a high output coil in the cap while a specially designed, QPQ coated chromoly advance cam and weight set ride on tig welded weight plate pins and a tig welded distributor shaft. This combination provides brute strength and precision timing from idle to max RPM. At the bottom, a QPQ coated steel gear will run lap after lap, race after race, victory after victory without fatigue.

With the demands of racing in mind, the MSD Circle Track HEI is peaked and tuned to provide ultimate reliability and strength to run circles around the competition.
